Stages will be giving students the opportunity to take part in modern dance examinations from 2012.

The exams will be optional and will run alongside the dance for fun classes as an extra for those wanting to take part. All details will be given out to parents and students of Stages in the near future.

Examinations will be taken under the Association of American Dancing and classes will be taught by Alison.

The workshops taken by Mr Leyton Turner earlier this year have proven to be a great success with the students. The 2 hour ballet workshop for senior students was very demanding but gave good technique training and gave the students something as a challenge.

The 2 hour Jazz workshop was fun and very different for most students.

The final product can be seen in the forthcoming show and will be dances by 6 senior members of Stages.

It’s all talk about the show at the moment, everyone is getting excited about the new dances.

There are some amazing numbers this year with our life-size bird cage and massive Disco number!

We don’t want to give too much away but we can tell you it’s going to be the best show yet.
